Prayer for Addiction

No one has to be in bondage to anything. The Word of God says "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be engtangled again with a yoke of bondage
(Galatians 5:1)." If you or someone you know is addicted to anything, pray this prayer for deliverance. It is not God's desire for anyone to be in bondage to anything. God can bring deliverance and set us free.

Father, I thank You that You sent Jesus to us with His anointing to heal the brokenhearted, proclaim deliverance to the captives, and set at liberty those who are bruised. I come to you now in behalf of ________________, who is captive to the addiction of __________, which keeps him/her bound and has bruised him/her in many ways.

If ___________does not know JesusChrist as his/her personal Savior, I ask You to reveal the truth to him/her, so he/she will be able to experience Your great salvation. Let him/her know how much You love him/her.

Dear God, I pray that You would give ____________the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Enlighten the eyes of his/her understanding Father, so he/she can see, clearly and honsetly, the great damage and pain this addiction causes in his/her life, as well as in the lives of others.

Show him/her the deep rejection, emptiness, pain, or other wounds that is the root of this addiction. Please reveal Your great power toward him/her to bring freedom and healing into his/her life.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, I take my stand in faith that the sin of _____________ will cease to have dominion over _____________. Convict him/her that it is sin and help him/her to repent and confess it as sin and accept your forgiveness and cleansing from all the unrighteousness it has brought into his/her life.

Lord God, I bind every scheme and strategy of Satan to keep ______________in bondage to this addiction. I claim for him/her that this weapon formed against him/her will not prosper.

Gracious God, help ______________to see that your truth will make him/her free. Show him/her that, when Jesus sets someone free, he/she will be free indeed.

Set __________ free, dear Father, from all fear and pride, and guide his/her feet into the way of peace, that he/she may be willing to confess this addiction to safe and wise counselors and receive guidance and prayer for healing.

I set my face like a flint, O God to remain faithful to pray for _____________ and to speak Your words of life and truth into his/her life, as I have opportunity, I set my soul to wait upon you, Father, for in You I place my expectation for _____________'s full deliverance and healing.

As You heal _______________'s addiction, Father, may he/she stand fast in the liberty and freedom You have provided for him/her through Christ and never again become entangled in this yoke of bondage.

Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer for _____________. In the powerful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

A Single Believer Who Desires To Be Married

If you or someone you know desires to be married, please pray this prayer for yourself or for someone else. God ordained marriages and if you want to be married, ask God for your spouse. The desire to be married is a God-given desire. "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass (Psalm 37:5)." Don't forget to invite me to the wedding. I know God will answer your prayer. Pray it until you get the results you want and thank Him everyday until it happens. For we learn to call those things that be not as though they were. If you have the faith, God has the power!

Heavenly Father, it is my privilege now to pray for________, a single believer who desires to be married. Help me/her/him to commit my/his/her way to You and to trust in You. May I/he/she trust You with all my/his/her heart and not lean to my/his/her own understanding. In all my/his/her ways, may I/he/she acknowledge you, realizing that, as I do or that he/she does so, You will direct my/his/her paths. Thank You Father.

Lead _________ to trust Your mighty name, dear God, at all times. May I/he/she do everything for Your glory, Father, as I strive or he/she strives to please Christ in all I say or do or he/she says and does . Help me/him/her to do everything You assign me/him/her with all my/his/her heart, knowing that, as I do or he/she does so, You will be at work in my/his/her life to bring fulfillment and happiness.

I ask You, Mighty God, to lead _____________ to the right friends---people who show forth love at all times. Help me/him/her to be that kind of friend to others as well. May I/he/she learn to receive my/his'her fellow-believers as Christ received me/him/her, to Your glory, dear God, and, as I do so and as he/she does so, lead me/him/her to the person You have selected to be my/his/her spouse.

When times of loneliness and discouagement come to me/him/her, help ________to remember that You are always with me/him/her and You will never leave me/him/her nor forsake me/him/her. Show ________how to place my/his/her future in Your hands, Father, fully confident that You have a plan and a purpose for my/his/her life, and You will weave all things together into a beautiful tapestry, because I love You and he/she loves You.

Help me/him/her to see that You are my/his/her Helper, Mighty God, and, because this is true, I do not and he/she does not experience fear or anxiety. Let me/him/her regard You as the Giver of every good and perfect gift, the Father of lights. May I/he/she cast all my/his/her cares upon You, truly understanding that You care for me/him/her.

Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer in behalf of _________. In the Holy name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

from their sins. Please pray this prayer for someone until they accept Christ. God will be well
pleased and the angels in heaven will rejoice.

In the space provided say the person's name and if it is you, use your name. God is going to
answer your prayer.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your only begotten Son to die for us, that whosoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. It is my privilege now to pray for
____________, who needs to know Jesus as his/her personal Savior and Lord.
May he/she believe in his/her heart that Jesus is the Christ and You have raised Him from
the dead. I pray that you would open___________________'s eyes to see that eternal life
is Your gift to him/her through Jesus Christ.

Help______________ to know how much you love him/her and to confess his/her sins to

all his/her sins and cleansing him/her from all unrighteousness. Thank You Father.
I pray that______________ will see that you have commended your love to him/her, in that
while he/she was yet a sinner, Christ died for him/her. Reveal to him/her that the wages of sin
is death but Your gift to him is eternal life.

Thank You for Your grace, which is at work in_________________.'s life, as I pray. Reveal to him/her that he/she can be saved only by grace through faith. May he/she realize salvation

Deliver____________from every scheme and snare the devil has used to hold him/her
captive throughout his/her life. Let every stronghold of unbelief and vain imagination in
__________________'s life be pulled down and brought into captivity to the obedience
in Christ.

I ask You, as the Lord of the harvest, to send Your laborers to share the gospel of Jesus Christ
with________________. Let them minister Your Word, Lord God, in the power of Your
Spirit, to make him/her wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, to open his/her eyes,

that he/she may receive all You have in store for him/her.

Father I know You are bringing salvation to _____________. Thank You for the wonderful
assurance. Help him/her to believe Your Word, confess with his/her mouth that Jesus is his/her

Prayer For Employment

If you or a love one or friend is seeking employment pray this prayer for them or for yourself. Where the blanks are, fill in the person's name. God does hear and answer our prayers. We have to ask Him in faith and believe that He has the power to supply all our needs.

Father, I call on you in behalf of __________, who is seeking employment. Help him/her trust in Your Word and the truth it contains, that in Christ Jesus, You have created him/her for good works that are already prepared for him/her to do.

Reveal to____________ the plans You have for him/her, plans for well-being and not for harm, to give him/her a future and a hope.

Help____________ to search out in You, his/her special gifts and talents, knowing that a person's gift make room for him/her before those who are great.

Father I pray that ________________will have a willing and obedient heart, for to such You have promised that they will eat of the good of the land. Whatever his/her hand finds to do, may he/she do it with might and do it heartily, as unto You and not unto men. May he/she humble himself/herself under Your mighty hand, knowing You will exalt him/her in due time.

Dear God as _______________delights himself/herself in you, I know You will give him/her the desires of his/her heart, and as he/she commits his/her way to you in this job search, You will bring suitable employment to pass.

Help___________trust in You with all his/her heart and not lean upon his/her own understanding. May he/she acknowledge You in all his/her ways knowing You will direct his/her paths.

Because You have promised to supply all ______________'s needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and You want to give good gifts to Your children
who seek you, I pray that he/she will seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else.

As he/she does so, I pray that You will not only supply her/him with employment, but that it will be exceedingly abundantly above all that he/she asks or thinks. May the Holy Spirit lead and guide him/her in seeking work and may the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified in the outcome of the job search, dear Father.

In confidence that You hear and are answering my prayer, I give You thanks. In the bountiful name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

Leave It There

Leave It There

If You are Burdened Today This Hymn Will Uplift Your Spirit

If the world you withhold of its silver and its gold, and you have
to get along with meager fare, just remember in his Word how he feeds
the little bird, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Chorus: Leave it there, leave it there, take your burden to the Lord
and leave it there. If you trust and never doubt, he will surely
bring you out; take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If your body suffers pain, and your health you can't regain, and your
soul is almost sinking in despair, Jesus knows the pain you feel, he can
save and he can heal, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Chorus: Leave it there, leave it there, take youir burden to the Lord
and leave it there. If you trust and never doubt, he will surely
bring you out, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your enemies assail, and your heart begins to fail, don't forget
that God in heaven answers prayer; he will make a way for you, and
will lead you safely through, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Chorus; Leave it there, leave it there, take your burden to the Lord
and leave it there. If you trust and never doubt, he will surely
bring you out, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your youthful days are done, and old age is stealing on, and your
body bends beneath the weight of care, he will never leave you then,
he'll go with you to the end, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there, take your burden to the Lord
and leave it there. If you trust and never doubt, he will surely
bring you out, take your burden to the lord and leave it there.

The Blood

The Blood
One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God out of her heart. She responded
to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough
past involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But the change in her was evident. As time went
on, she became a faithful member of the church.
She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long
until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.
The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began.
You see, about half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was
suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they
decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the
meeting was getting completely out of hand.
The Young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry, the pastor's son began to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing
his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:
"My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here. WHAT YOU ARE QUESTIONING IS THE
ABILITY OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO WASH AWAY SIN OR NOT."
The whole church began to weep as they realized they had been SLANDERING THE BLOOD OF
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
Too ofen even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers
and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If
the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely, then it cannot cleanse us
completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away our sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of Case!!!!!
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee, he shall never suffer the righteous to
be moved (Psalm 55:23)."

"He Has Done Great Things"

"He Has Done Great Things"
Scripture: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent his not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)."
If we were to take the time to look back over our lives today, tomorrow, or in the days to come we can all agree that God has demonstrated His love for us so many, many times. We can all truly say that because of this great love that He has for us that He has done great things. Just thinking about the great things that He allowed to happen last week, or the past weekend, today, or just a few seconds or minutes ago, even within the last hour, we could shout Halleuliah. For we can truly say that He has done great things in our lives. We could be dead sleeping in our graves, but he has spared us and we are still alive enjoying our families and friends. We are in good health, and are still in our right minds. We have food, clothing , shelter, transportation to get to and from our jobs that He gave us. He woke us early this morning, our family circles were not broken, and some of us didn't even take the time to say "Thank You God for blessing me to see another day." But he still allowed us to go about our daily activities. He has done great things. Somebody thought they were going to get bad results from tests results, but God intervened and turned things around. Somebody's love ones were delivered and set free from drug and alcohol abuse. Doors were opened for many people who saw no hope. God turned the impossibles to possibilities. Marriages were healed, relationships were mended, debts have been cancelled, and many, many more blessing that we don't even have room to name. He has done great things!
Truly we cannot tell of all the great things that He has done. His greatness just did not begin today, yesterday or even a hundred years gao. His greatness began in the beginning of time. For the Bible tells us that in the beginning He created the heaven and the earth and everything in it. Then he created Adam and from Adam's rib He created Eve. He has done great things! He took a one hundred year old man named Abraham and his ninety year old wife named Sarah and blessed them with a son. He has done great things! After 400 years of being in slavery He delivered a nation of people and loved them and took care of them. He blessed them to get to a land filled with milk and honey. All their needs were met. In spite of the fact that they were rebellious and disobedient, He still loved and blessed them. Even when they were enslaved to the Babylonians because of their disobedience, God was still with them. He proved that He was still their God. He delivered Daniel from the den of lions. He delivered Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego from the fiery furnace. Even after the Babylonian captivity when they were free to go back to Jerusalem, He still delivered the ones who stayed in Babylonia from destruction. He has done great things!
Not only did He do great things in the Old Testament, He did great things in the New Testament too. For the Bible tells us that"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For he sent not his Son into the world to condeemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)." Again He has done great things. The greatest thing He did for us was to sacrifice His only begotten Son for our sins and for the sins of the entire world. His Son was Him in the flesh. Through His Son He taught us many things. For over three years He demonstrated His love, compassion, and power. He did many great things. One day there was a marrriage in Cana of Galilee. Jesus was there with His mother and some of His disciples. When there was no more wine, His mother came to Him. She knew that He was capable of getting the job done. He did just as she expected. He provided wine by turning water into wine. This was His first miracle but others were going to follow. One day while he was on his way to heal a man named Jarius' daughtr a lady who had an issue of blood for twelve long years pushed her way through the crowd to reach Him. She believed that if she could only touched the hem of his garment thart she would be healed of this disease. She pressed her way through the crowd and touched the hem of His garment. Immediately she was healed. Jesus told her that it was not the hem of the garment that healed her, but that it was her faith. He continued to Jarius' house and healed his daughter. He has done great thungs! He opened the eyes of the blind, cast out demons, healed the leprosy, raised Lazarus from the grave, and made the lame walk. One day while he was traveling He met a funeral procession. He had compassion for a mother who was on her way to bury her son. She had already buried her husband and now she was on her way to bury her only son. He spoke life back into this mother's son. He has done great things.
Finally when He had done all that His Heavenly Father sent Him to do, He was turnrd over to the hands of the enemies. They mocked Him. Then they beat Him beyond recognition. . They gave Him thirty-nine painful stripes on His back. You see these weren't soft licks. Every time they hit him on His back they would ripped His flesh. This would make the crucifixion more painful. Hanging a person on a cross was the most demeaning manner of putting a person to death. This was what they did for slaves whom they considered to be less than human. Now they were doing the same thing to our Lord and Savior. He has done great things! Then they crucified Him. To crucify means to put to death on a cross. After a criminal had carried his own cross, a hole was dug in the earth to receive the foot of the cross. The cross was laid on the ground. Then the person for execution was stripped and laid on it, and soldiers then fastened their hands and feet either by nails or thongs. They used nails for Jesus. After they had driven the nails deeply into the wood, they elevated the cross with the agonizing sufferer on it. In order to fit it more securely in the ground, they let it fall more violently into the hole. The sudden fall would give the person a sudden and convulsive shock, and greatly increased the suffering. Jesus went through all of this just for you and me. He has done great thungs! He didn't have to do it, but he did it because He loved us.
We should never forget the great things that He has done and continues to do each moment of the day. No matter who we think we are or how much we think that we have accumulated and possess, we could not have done anything without God. It is only by His grace and mercy that we can get up from our beds in the mornings and He allows us to do the things that we do. We serve a Great God, one who forgives us when we are in our mess. He still loves us and keeps blessings us over and over again. He never leaves nor forsakes us. He is better to us than wha we are to ourselves. He is a great God and He has done great things. We should give Him praises for His greatness!

A Great God

You are the Great God,
The great King above all gods,
In Your hands are the depths of the earth,
And the summits of the mountains are Yours too.
The sea is Yours, for You made it,
And Your hands formed the dry land.
You are our God and we are the people of Your pasture
And the Sheep under Your care
All the earth shouts joyfully to You, O Lord
We worship You with gladness.
We come before You with joyful singing
You, O Lord, are God.
It is You who have made us and not we ourselves.
We are Your people and the sheep of Your pasture
You are a Great God.
Amen!

"All You Need Is Love"

"All You Need Is Love"

Scripture: Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, THOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.

(Matthew 22:6-39)."

One of the most popular words in the dictionary is probably love. We find ourselves saying it all the time. We love certain kinds of foods, certain beverages, flowers, certain types of music, clothing, furniture, sports, and the list goes on. Although we have choices about loving material things or not loving them, we don't have a choice about the kind of people we choose to love. God has made it plain and clear that we are to love everyone because everyone is our neighbor.

We find here in our text that a lawyer asked Jesus "Teacher which is the greatest commandment?" We know that on the tablet of stone that God gave to Moses that there were 10 commandments. However, the Jews actually had 613 laws. There were 248 do's and 365 don'ts. Now that was a lot of do's and don'ts. Can you imagine trying to figure out what to do and what not to do? But listen to what Jesus said to the lawyer. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Then he told him that this was the greatest commandment. And he said that the second was like unto it "Thou shalt love your neighbor as yourself." He told him that on those two commandments hang all the law and the prophet. In other words Jesus was saying that if we could keep these two commandments, we wouldn't have any trouble keeping the rest.

What God is still trying to get us to understand today is that all we really need is love. For if we should gain everything in the world and not have love, we really haven't gain anything of value. As Christian men and women we should search our hearts and ask our Heavenly Father to help us love our sisters and brothers. It is time for us to drop the foolishness and begin to love one another as God has already instructed us to do so. Whatever we have within us that is causing us not to grow in love, we need to get rid of it. In Paul's letter to the Hebrews Chapter 12:1, He says to them"Wherefore seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Love for our Heavenly Father and for one another is the force that will allow us to run this spiritual race that God wants us to run every day of our lives. Yes someone may have hurt us, angered us, and perhaps even caused us to experience a lot of unnecessary disappointments. But as Christians it is time for us to build bridges and cross over to the other side and leave those ill feelings toward one another behind us. Is there anything worth causing us to lose out on making Heaven our eternal resting place? We should be like Paul for he said "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 7:38-39)." All we need is love and everything else will fall in place.

If we know that we have something in our hearts that is blocking us from loving everyone, we need to ask God to take it away. He will hear our prayers and take away the hurt, pain sorrow, rejection, humiliation, and anything else that is causing us not to walk in love the way God desires for us to do. When we have that love we can sing the words to this song"Love Lifted Me."

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more
But the master of the sea, heard my despairing cry.
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

Refrain
Love Lifted me!
Lovw lifted me
When nothing else could help
Love Lifted me.

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I'll cling
In His blessed presence live, ever His praises sings.
Faithful loving service to Him belongs.

Refrain
Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves.
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves.
He is the master of the sea, billows His will obey.
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

Refrain

All you need is love, ask God to fill your heart right now with His precious love. Your life will never be the same.
